Clachan House (Centre Picture) and Heather Cottage (Left of Picture) lie on the shore of Lochdon.

Bed and Breakfast is available at Clachan House, and Heather Cottage is available for self catering.

Lochdon is situated just 3 miles from the main ferry terminal at Craignure and therefore is a perfect base for visiting sites on Mull with both Tobermory and Fionnphort (for Iona ferry) about 45mins away. However Clachan House and Heather Cottage are on the Gorten Road in Lochdon, off the ‘main’ road, so a stay of perfect peace, tranquillity and utter restfulness is guaranteed.

Clachan House is a modified croft house and although the land is now de-crofted it is still worked with the result that truly fresh, very local organic free range eggs are offered for breakfast along with jams made from fruit that has travelled mere yards before being preserved. Fresh fruit and veg in season are also available.

Bed and breakfast is available in Clachan House or the annex to Heather Cottage (see below). Clachan House contains just one double room, en-suite, south facing with a view of Lochdon. A hospitality tray is provided and adjacent to the room is a seating area with TV. A generous supply of guide books, maps and general information is supplied.

A full Scottish breakfast will offer eggs from our own hens, truly fresh, organic and free range, jams made from fruit grown in the garden and home-made marmalade. (Unfortunately, the rest will have to be bought in.) To save money you might prefer a simpler breakfast of toast and cereal, or a room only option.

Prices for 2007  £27 per person per night (for two sharing),

                              includes a full Scottish breakfast.

£22 per person per night (for two sharing), toast and cereal for breakfast.

£20 per person per night (for two sharing), room only option.

A 10% discount is offered for stays of 3 nights or longer.
